1948 Morgan 4/4 $20,000

Bought from the original  owner back in 2000 to feature in the Pilot for a Science based  TV series for ABC TV. Has a Standard “flying” Ten motor with, I’m advised, a Cosworth Head. Reasonably good condition.

Given the state of the roads hereabouts has been garaged in a carport on the farm and driven for years.

Ideal for a restoration project. Noted asking prices for restored late 1940’s morgan 4/4s ($35,000 – $40,000plus) the asking price of $20,000 could be a good investment.

1947 Series 1 Morgan 4/4 $35,000

I bought this Burgundy Series 1 in 2016 from Alan Coulson who had restored it as a retirement project. It has an original Standard Special engine with a Moss gearbox; hydraulic brakes with an engineers certificate. The VIN is 1668. The body and chassis were restored in 1971 and the engine done up in 1979 with the exceptional paint work about 2013. It runs and drives very well and comes with a tonneau and sun hood. With  2 other  Morgans in the garage there is, unfortunately, little time to drive the Series 1. Price $35000.

1948 Morgan 4/4 $37,000

This is an older restored Morgan.  It has a new chasi, all new woodwork, all in very good condition.  The car has never been in the rain or washed with a hose.  The engine has been reconditioned; new pistons, rings, bearings, head reconditioned.  All work has been carried out by mechanics late last year.  It’s a nice little car, I have a later model Morgan so don’t get time to drive both.  It’s got to go.  Asking price $37,000 ONO.
